Why OG12B10 fits AI glasses

Smart glasses need a world-facing camera that stays thin, runs all day, and still feeds perception without emptying the temple battery. Streaming full RAW into a hot host ISP fights that brief. A sensor that keeps always-on sensing and light edge compute on the die changes the power and bandwidth story for OEM and ODM glasses teams.

OmniVision positions OG12B10 as a 12 MP stacked BSI CIS with on-chip CPU, NPU, and SRAM, plus always-on modes aimed at AI edge devices including smart glasses. Camemake’s job is the module around that die: package choice, optics, FPC, active alignment, calibration, certification support, and volume on the same lines used for other wearable cameras.

For glasses, the useful levers are always-on and low-power modes, on-sensor tasks that cut host MIPI traffic, and a 12 MP world path that can still drop to faster half-resolution modes when the product needs them. Camemake module program for glasses

Camemake is the factory for the camera module, not a sensor reseller pitch:

  • World module on CSP or COB when Z-height wins, MIPI out, lens and IR-cut for the world FOV, AA and shading calibration for outdoor and indoor use.
  • Bring-up notes for normal RAW, HDR combination, ULP, and always-on handoff into the glasses SoC.
  • Mechanics into the temple, hinge, or brow bar with Z-height and mass owned in DFM.
  • Volume path from samples into serial-tracked production lots with calibration files.

From brief to certified volume

  1. Brief: world FOV, host SoC and MIPI budget, temple Z-height and mass, always-on policy, certification markets.
  2. Configuration: lock OG12B10 (or an alternate world PN if the brief changes), CSP vs COB, optics, FPC, connector, and quote.
  3. Samples: modules, AA reports, serials, and host bring-up for always-on, ULP, and HDR modes.
  4. Production: IQC, assembly, lens AA, functional and dust inspection, and serials into the production database.
  5. Certification support on the Camemake services path as the glasses SKU requires.
