A vehicle camera has to do what an eye does at a garage door, at night, in rain, for years. Lawmakers and OEMs are still writing the rules. Our job is narrower and harder: assemble a module whose focus, heat path, and BOM will still be the same part in three years. The 2025 note on .com said 'human eyesight'. Fine. The factory sentence is repeatability.

What assembly actually is
- Die, package, holder, lens, and a focus that is glued after a chart, not a hope.
- A PCB colour and layout that do not glow into the image. See black PCBs.
- A flex or GMSL/USB tail that matches the vehicle harness, not a 15-pin hobby pinout.
- PPAP and PCN when the customer is automotive. That is a process, not a PDF on the blog.
Camemake's lane
