Build your camera

where cameras

get made.

Camemake Lens is a hardware accelerator for funded camera startups. Come to our R&D center in Shenzhen and build your product alongside our engineers, with a full lab, cleanroom, ESD assembly area, and direct line into our manufacturing pipeline. We take no equity. When you ship, you build with us.

A factory, not

just a desk.

Most accelerators give you advice and a co-working space. We give you a working camera factory. Camemake Lens brings funded camera startups into our Shenzhen R&D center, where our engineers, equipment, and supply chain already build imaging hardware every day.

You design and iterate on-site. We help you get it right for production. And when you're ready to ship, Camemake manufactures and assembles it. That's our return, the build contract, not your cap table.

0%

Equity. Always.

We don't take ownership and we don't charge a program fee. Our only ask is that you produce with us when your product goes to market. Clean terms, fully aligned interests, we win when you ship.

Our new R&D center

A purpose-built environment for serious imaging hardware, every stage from breadboard to boxed product under one roof in Shenzhen.

R&D Laboratory

Optical benches, test rigs, measurement and calibration equipment. Characterise lenses, sensors and modules with proper instrumentation, not guesswork.

ESD Assembly Area

Static-safe workstations for handling sensitive electronics and image sensors. Protect your boards and components from the build's first day.

On-Site Engineers

Mechanical, optical and firmware specialists on the floor with you. Scheduled hands-on hours, design reviews, and real problem-solving — not just mentorship.

Cleanroom

Controlled-environment space for sensor handling, lens bonding, and module assembly — keeping dust and particles out of the parts that matter most.

Modern Office

Bright, comfortable workspace for your team, sit alongside Camemake engineers, with meeting rooms, fast connectivity, and room to think.

A Place You Want to Be

Quality details throughout — including genuinely clean facilities and amenities. Building hardware is hard enough; the environment shouldn't be.

Not your average ODM.

Building hardware in Shenzhen usually means handing your design to an ODM or OEM and hoping for the best. Camemake works differently, European on the inside, with a Belgian CTO and European working standards, and a manufacturing partner that treats your idea as yours alone.

Your secrets stay yours.

Every project is run in isolation. We don't copy designs, we don't reuse your work on someone else's product, and we don't blur the line between clients. Unlike a typical ODM that recycles reference designs across customers, your IP is protected by how we operate, not just by a contract you hope holds up.

European ways of working.

Led by a Belgian CTO, our overseas team runs on European standards — clear communication, straight answers, documented engineering, and respect for deadlines and confidentiality. You get Shenzhen's manufacturing power with a culture you already understand.

Every project is unique.

We don't push you toward an off-the-shelf module to make our life easier. Each build is engineered for your product, your constraints, and your market — designed once, designed properly, and never quietly cloned for the next client.

Start remote. Visit when it counts.

You don't have to be in Shenzhen to begin. Most projects start remotely, design, planning and early engineering happen at a distance and evolve from there. Come on-site for the stages where being at the bench changes everything, then keep moving from wherever you are.

How it works

Rolling admissions, no cohort window to wait for. Apply when you're ready, and accepted teams start onboarding within days.

1

Apply

Submit the form below. Funded teams only, tell us what you're building, where you are, and show proof of investment. No pitch deck needed.

2

Scope

Accepted teams meet our engineering leads to define a build plan, milestones, and the manufacturing agreement that anchors the partnership.

3

Build

Work with our engineers; remotely, on-site, or both. Use the lab, cleanroom and ESD area when you're here, and keep moving from anywhere between visits.

4

Produce

Once your design is locked and validated, transition into Camemake's production line. We build the module, assemble the product, and ship.

The deal is simple

0% Equity Taken

No stake in your company, no program fee. Your cap table stays clean. Our return is the manufacturing contract, not your ownership.

You Build With Us

In exchange for the facility and engineering support, you commit to producing with Camemake at pilot and at scale. That's the agreement.

Infinite Rolling Access

No fixed intake. Apply any time of year, onboard in weeks, and stay as long as you're actively building toward production.

Built for serious builders

Funded - Any Stage

Pre-seed through Series A and beyond. You must have capital to build. Proof of investment required at application.

Camera or Imaging Hardware

Consumer, industrial, medical, automotive, drone, robotics, AR/VR. If it captures or processes light, you qualify.

Ready to Build

You have a concept, sketches, or an early prototype and know what you want to make. This is a production accelerator, not discovery.

Manufacturing Intent

Your roadmap leads to a product that ships at volume. You intend to actually produce, not just research.

Tell us what you're building.

Applications are open year-round. Share where you are in development and proof that you're funded. We review and respond within about three weeks. No pitch deck required, just be real about what you need.

Good to know

Correct. We take no equity and charge no program fee. Our return comes from manufacturing your product once it's ready. That's the whole model, it keeps our interests aligned with yours.

Accepted startups agree to produce their hardware with Camemake, at pilot and at scale. The specifics are defined in a manufacturing agreement during the scoping phase, before you move in.

No. Most projects start remotely; early design, planning and engineering happen at a distance and come on-site for the stages where being at the bench matters most. You move at the pace and presence that suits your team.

Every project is run in isolation. We don't reuse your design on other products and we don't recycle reference designs across clients the way a typical ODM does. Your work is engineered uniquely for you and stays confidential backed by both how we operate and a formal agreement.

It depends on your product and stage, anywhere from three weeks to a year of active build time. Rolling admissions mean you stay as long as you're progressing toward production.

No. You need to know what you're building and be funded to build it. Concept, sketches, or an early prototype are all fine. We're not a fit for ideas without funding or a clear product.
